Rivers by Rebecca & Fiona

Dear Poptastic Readers,

Swedish duo Rebecca & Fiona have a new single out called “Rivers” and it is quite an audible journey!

So what is it like? The description on their YouTube page says it better than we can: A manifestation of the Scandi House Queens’ longing for crowded parties and live sets, “Rivers” will bring you nostalgia in the best of ways. Featuring an unreal mix of bass and samples of sunset beaches, late night 90s garage and 80s heartbreak, this banger will take your mind exactly where it needs to go. And after 3 minutes of bliss, you’ll want to hit repeat. Have a listen ...

“Rivers” was written by Rebecca & Fiona. They produced it with Slackin Beats. It is available on digital outlets. Buy your copy today. We've added it to our 2021 Poptastic Confessions Playlist on Spotify. You'll also hear Champagne Promises and Another World there, too. Enjoy!

Cheers then,

—Davearama

Wear It Like A Crown by Sarah Harding

Dear Poptastic Readers,

Girls Aloud singer Sarah Harding released a solo track last week called "Wear It Like A Crown." The week before last we featured Sarah's new book called Hear Me Out, which is also the name of a Girls Aloud song that she wrote.

Here is what Sarah had to say about the release of "Wear It Like A Crown": So, while I was searching through my laptop for old photos to include in the book I actually came across a song I'd recorded about ten years ago. I've always really loved it, and it made me feel a bit sad that no one ever got to hear it. I mentioned this to my team and they said we could release it, and I thought 'why the hell not?' Check out the lyric video ...

"Wear It Like A Crown" was written by Gavin Ragnar Brynmor Jones, Marlene Louise Strand, and Robert Soren Habolin (who also produced the track. It is available on digital outlets everywhere. Buy your copy today! We've added the song to our 2021 Poptastic Confessions Playlist on Spotify. Enjoy!

Diamond by Alice D

Dear Poptastic Readers,

Alice D is back with a new song today and it is called "Diamond." We quite like it and we think you will, too.

"Diamond" is a stripped-back soulful pop song with a Spanish-flavored acoustic guitar. Alices gives a wonderful vocal performance. And the lyrics have an empowering message. The song is a bit short clocking in at 2:22, so as soon as it stops, you want to hear it again. Go ahead. It is great. Have a listen ...

"Diamond" was written by Alice and Tim Blok. It was produced by AKA Block. It is available on digital outlets everywhere. Buy your copy today. We've added it our 2021 Poptastic Confessions Playlist on Spotify. You'll also hear Alice's previous single "Drunk Talk" there. Enjoy!

Hear Me Out by Sarah Harding

Dear Poptastic Readers,

Sarah Harding from the group Girls Aloud has a new book out called Hear Me Out, which is named after a song she wrote for Girls Aloud with the same name. Not only is the book #1 in the UK, but the song is also #1 on the iTunes downloads chart this week.

This is very special because as fans know that last August, Sarah revealed that she had breast cancer that had advanced to other parts of her body. And just last month, she announced that her cancer is in fact too far advanced, and it is terminal.

Sarah said about her book ... I can't rewrite history; all I can do is be honest and wear my heart on my sleeve. It's really the only way I know. I want to show people the real me. Or perhaps remind them. Because, somewhere — amongst the nightclubs, the frocks and hairdos, the big chart hits, and the glamour of being a popstar — the other Sarah Harding got utterly lost. She's the one who's been forgotten. And all I want is for you to hear her out.

Listen to the 2004 Girls Aloud song "Hear Me Out" here ...

Please buy Sarah's book and downloading the Girl Aloud song.
We've added the song to our 2021 Poptastic Confessions Playlist on Spotify. Enjoy!

Cheers then,
