Storm by SuRie

Dear Poptastic Readers,

Last weekend was the Eurovision Song Contest. If you just asked yourself, "What is that?" Well, Eurovision was started in the 1950s to help bring European countries unite over music after the war. Each year, countries submit a song to represent their countries. The winner is decided based on a mixture of scores from the judges, as well as voters. This year, there was a performance that we can't seem to get out of our heads, and it wasn't the winner. It was the United Kingdom's entry with "Storm" by SuRie.

Perhaps you read about it on the news, but about halfway through SuRie's performance, a man rushed the stage and grabbed her microphone out of her hand to protest something. After a brief scuffle with security, the man was taken off stage. SuRie saw her microphone on the floor and picked it up finishing her song with amazing power and strength. Just have a look ...

Wasn't her performance incredible? Kudos to SuRie! She gave this interview on This Morning yesterday. Not only is she charming, but she handled the interview with grace. Check it out ...

We love SuRie! Sadly, her song came in at #24 out of 26. It doesn't matter. SuRie is a wonderful singer and beautiful person, and "Storm" is a lovely uplifting song. We hope her career continues. In the meantime, "Storm" is available on digital outlets everywhere. Buy your copy today. We've added "Storm" to our 2018 Poptastic Confessions Playlist on Spotify. Enjoy!~

Cheers then,

—Davearama
