Paradise by Parralox featuring Marcella Detroit

Dear Poptastic Confessions,

Australian synthpop group Parralox have finally released the follow-up single to "Electric Nights" (which was our #1 song of 2017) in the form of "Paradise" featuring Marcella Detroit on lead vocals.

"Paradise" is the first track on the album Subculture, which was released in the beginning of 2017. We said in our review of the album, "The track is light and airy with a Spanish flamenco feel to it." The standard single features 3 versions of "Paradise" (2 remixes by Eric Kupper and Destino, and an edit of the album track) and two b-sides "Nemesis" and "Sueño Latino."

December 8 UPDATE: Here is the music video with the Eric Kupper remix. Enjoy!~

You can listen to the single EP here ...

It's a lovely song, right? Yes, it is. "Paradise" is available on digital outlets everywhere. It also comes with a lovely remix package with remixes from Eric Kupper, Will Alonso, Mark Hagan, and many more!

Buy your copy today. We've added the Eric Kupper version to our 2018 Poptastic Confessions Playlist on Spotify. Enjoy!~

Cheers then,

Sincerely Yours by Kylie Minogue

Dear Poptastic Readers,

Fantastic news! Kylie Minogue has released yet another single from her Golden album. "Sincerely Yours" has been one of our favourite tracks from the album. Promos were sent to Australian radio stations with her announcement of an Australian tour in 2019, and we are hoping for a full global release.

"Sincerely Yours" is lovely ballad that is filled with emotion. The lyrics are about a relationship that is strong, but she needs a break. "This is not the end. I'll come back again." The music is quite wonderful. It also is probably the least country-sounding track on the album. Have a listen ...

Wasn't that lovely? Yes, it was. "Sincerely Yours" and Golden are available on digital outlets everywhere. Buy your copy today. We've added the single edit to our 2018 Poptastic Confessions Playlist on Spotify. You'll also hear Kylie's other singles this year on the playlist: "Dancing""Raining Glitter""Stop Me From Falling""Stop Me From Falling (New Version with Gente de Zona)""Golden""A Lifetime To Repair", and her duet with Jack Savoretti "Music's Too Sad Without You." Woo!

The Only One by Glass Slipper

Dear Poptastic Readers,

Our favourite deep house duo has just released a new groove called "The Only One." It will have you diving in the deep beats.

"The Only One" has a nice remix by David Harness that really brings the song to life. However, the original mix is quite nice, too as it has a much longer intro. As usual, Lisa shines on vocals. Have a listen here ...

"The Only One" is available on digital outlets everywhere. Buy your copy today. We've added it to our 2018 Poptastic Confessions Playlist on Spotify. You'll also hear their previous singles there this year: "Let's Go To The Light" and "Getcha Ass Up." Enjoy!~

Emoji by Galantis

Dear Poptastic Reader,

Galantis have a new song out called "Emoji" and it is fantastic. However, if you are fan of 90s pop music, then you will be delighted to hear that it is an uncredited Cathy Dennis on lead vocals of this track. She is credited on the songwriting credit, though!

Now if you just asked yourself "Who is Cathy Dennis?" Then we just rolled our eyes. Between 1989 and 1992, she had these singles:

"C'mon And Get My Love" with D-Mob in 1989
(UK #15, US #10, US Dance #3)

"That's The Way Of The World" with D-Mob in 1990
(UK #48, US #59, US Dance #5)

(UK #13, US #9, US Dance #2)

(UK #5, US #2, US Dance #1)

(UK #17, US #8, US Adult Contemporary #1)

(UK #25, US #90, US Dance #22)

(UK #34, US #32, US Dance #6)

(UK #24, US #62, US Adult Contemporary #6)

"Falling" in 1993
(UK #32)

(US Adult Contemporary #8)

"Why?" with D-Mob in 1994
(UK #23)

(UK #25)

(UK #11)

(UK #43)

Since then, Cathy has written mega hits for the likes of Kylie Minogue with "Can't Get You Out Of My Head", Britney Spears with "Toxic", Sophie Ellis-Bextor with "Catch You", Rachel Stevens with "Sweet Dreams My L.A. Ex", Sugababes with "About You Now", and many more!

Now onto the new song with Galantis (a Swedish DJ duo), it really is a charming song with a lovely melody. Cathy isn't in the video, but it is super cute. Check it out ...

Wasn't that fun? Yes, it was! "Emoji" is available on digital outlets everywhere. Buy your copy today. We've added it to our 2018 Poptastic Confessions Playlist on Spotify. Enjoy!~

B-A-B-Y by Dolly Style featuring Polly

Dear Poptastic Readers,

The third single release of Dolly Style singles is Polly's song "B-A-B-Y", which ties in nicely to their current group single "L-O-V-E." These girls can sing (and spell)! ~:-)

"B-A-B-Y" is fun pop song that has a cheerleader feel to it, it even has a marching band–esque drum break in the middle. Polly does a wonderful job on the vocals. Take a look at this live performance ...

"B-A-B-Y" isn't available on digital outlets everywhere. However, it is on Spotify everywhere. We've added it to our 2018 Poptastic Confessions Playlist on Spotify. You'll also hear Molly's solo song "Hush Little Baby (VIP)"  and Holly's solo song "Red Lights" as well as Dolly Style's single "L-O-V-E" there. Enjoy!~

Spice Girls Reunion Tour in 2019

Dear Poptastic Readers,

In case you haven't heard, the Spice Girls are finally reuniting for another tour in 2019, but this time without Victoria Beckham.

Spice Girls 2018: Geri, Melanie C, Emma, and Mel B

They tried to do this once before in 2016 for their 20th anniversary. But even then, Victoria was not going to do it. Melanie C initially was involved, but then she eventually said no, too. Geri, Emma, and Mel B (GEM) posted a video on the 20th anniversary of their first single "Wannabe" saying a big celebration was coming.

Spice Girls in 2016: GEM

The trio of GEM even went to the studio to record new music. Someone leaked a song they were working on called "Song For Her." And then Geri got pregnant with her second child, and all plans stalled.

So today they announce a summer UK tour. Watch this ...

Hopefully more dates will be added in other areas, too. Not only are we hoping for new music, but it is also time to remaster their albums, b-sides, and rarities.

Cheers then,
—Davearama

P.S. Here are the tour dates ...
