Eighties synthpop legends Soft Cell and Pet Shop Boys have teamed up for a new single called "Purple Zone" and it was released this week. It was written and produced by Soft Cell, but it has a very Pet Shop Boys sound to it. The song appears on Soft Cell's first new album in 20 years and the album is called Happiness Not Included.
Don't be fooled by the uplifting music, "Purple Zone" actually has some deeper lyrics and a bit on the dark side. The lyrics are looking back on your life and wondering how you got to where you are now. But in that moment, there is also a sense of liberation. Check out the music video, which features both Soft Cell and Pet Shop Boys.
