L-O-V-E by Dolly Style

Dear Poptastic Readers,

Our guilty pleasure Dolly Style are back with a new member and new banger of a song. You're going to love "L-O-V-E!" We do!

Earlier this spring, the last founding member left her role as Holly in Dolly Style. The group has had more members than the Sugababes! If you aren't familiar with Dolly Style, here is a quick history lesson ...

The original Dolly Style: Version 1.0:
Molly, Holly, and Polly

Dolly Style formed in 2014. They looked like characters out of a Japanese animation with each one wearing a pastel wig. The white wig would be Molly, although the wig color quickly changed to pink. The blue wig is Holly. The lavender wig is Polly. Together, they make Dolly Style.

Dolly Style made their debut at Sweden's Melodifestivalen Song Contest in 2015 with the song "Hello Hi."

Version 2.0: Molly 1, Holly 1, and Polly 2

In the spring of 2015, the original Polly left and was replaced by Polly 2 just in time for their fantastic song "Cherry Gum." What a chorus that was. The video was super cute, too!

That fall, they released the song "Upsy Daisy." It was a cute, sweet song. It would be the original Molly's last song with the group.

Version 3.0: Molly 2, Holly 1, Polly 2

The original Molly left the group leaving Holly as the only original member. A  new Molly was found and we think she is hilarious! The group competed in Melodifestivalen again in 2016 with "Rollercoaster." That was our #3 song of 2016.

Later that summer, they released the camptastic "Unicorns & Ice Cream" ... which ended up being Polly 2's last song. It was also our #17 song of 2016.

Version 4.0: Molly 2, Polly 3, and Holly 1

A new Polly was found, and Polly 3 has a great voice. In the fall of 2016, they released "Young & Restless." It was our #12 song of 2016.

In the spring of 2017, Dolly Style released "Bye Bye Bby Boo." It was our #12 song of 2017. It was a bit of a slower song for the group. And for the video, they they had some makeup that made them look like cartoons.

They released "Moonlight" and "Glitter" in the summer of 2017. "Moonlight" was our #17 song of 2017. "Glitter" was our #38 song of 2017

Since then, they have done a lot of tours and shows around Sweden. They have an active YouTube channel, but most of videos are of them talking in Swedish.

When the original Holly left this spring, a search began for the new Holly. They found her and did have a hilarious introduction to Holly 2 on YouTube. Well, we don't understand Swedish, but we think they are hilarious none-the-less! Welcome, Holly 2!

Version 5.0: Molly 2, Polly 3, and Holly 2

The new song "L-O-V-E" is a fun pop song that will have you smiling and singing along in no time. They have filmed a video, and you can see the behind-the-scenes footage here. In the meantime, they just sang live at Lotta på Liseberg and it was Vilma's first performance. They sang "Bye Bye Bby Boo", 1984 Eurovision winning song "Diggi-Loo Diggi-Ley", and the new song "L-O-V-E" ...

We can't wait to see the music video (we hope it available in the US).

UPDATE Oct. 2, 2018: The music video is available in the US! HOORAY! The Dollies go a bit retro with a video game theme. Check it out ...

"L-O-V-E" is only available for streaming in the US. If it is available for download in your region, please do so. We've added it to our 2018 Poptastic Confessions Playlist on Spotify. Enjoy!~

Cheers then,

—Davearama
