What The Future Holds by Steps

 Dear Poptastic Readers,

Steps are back for a glorious new single called "What The Future Holds" plus a new album with the same name coming in November! HOORAY! Welcome back!

The last time we heard from Steps was in 2017 with their fantastic comeback album Tears On The Dancefloor. Click on the name to read our review.

That album had the following 4 singles (hopefully also with the new album). Let's look back at those 4 singles and see where they placed in our annual countdown of our top 100 songs of the year. If you aren't familiar with the songs, click on the links!

"Scared Of The Dark" was a fabulous return to form all while sounding modern. It was #2 in our Top 100 Songs of 2017.

"Story Of A Heart" was a beautiful ballad written by the guys from ABBA. It was #24 in our Top 100 Songs of 2017.

"Neon Blue" was delightful bop that landed at #9 in our Top 100 Songs of 2017.

And their euphoric remake of Delta Goodrem's "Dancing With A Broken Heart" was #5 in our Top 100 Songs of 2017.

So what's the new song "What The Future Holds" sound like? Well, it is a fabulous dance pop song with some big vocals. And the guys Lee and H haven't be regulated to backing singers as they both have parts in the verses. You can hear the audio here ...

On Friday, the music video will debut on YouTube. Here is the saved link for the music video ...

"What The Future Holds" was written by Greg Kurstin and Sia Furler. It was produced by Barry Stone and Julian Gingell. The single is available on digital outlets everywhere. Buy your copy today! You can even pre-order the album now. It will be released in November. We've added "What The Future Holds" to our 2020 Poptastic Confessions Playlist on Spotify. Enjoy!~

Cheers then,
—Davearama
