#20 of 2019

Dear Poptastic Readers,

In case you are just joining us, we are counting down our Top 100 Songs of 2019. We will post a song a day (except Christmas) until we get to the #1 song on New Year’s Eve.

#20 in our Top 100 Songs of 2019: “All The Queen’s Horses” by Shakespears Sister. Click on the title of the song to see what we originally said about it.

Written by: Siobhan Fahey and Marcella Detroit
Produced by: Nick Launay

Why: This was the return of the duo of Siobhan and Marcella since 1993. What a welcome return it was! What we love so much about this song is how they share the vocals and their vocals blend so easily. The western rock touch was also a different approach, and perhaps even the first song like it in our countdown over the years. Love the whistle part.

Watch: The music video was directed by Sophie Muller, who directed many of the duo’s previous music videos. It is in black and white and it is a very humorous way to show the duo getting back together again. Take a look …

Buy: “All The Queen’s Horses” is available on digital outlets everywhere. Buy your copy today! Their other single this year “When She Finds You” came in at #60 on our countdown. Check out their new Ride Again EP as well as their Singles Party greatest hits album.
Cheers then,
