Moonlight by Darin

Dear Poptastic Readers,

Swedish artist Darin is back with a new song called "Moonlight." Earlier this year, we featured his song "Electric."

"Moonlight" is a mid-tempo emotional dark pop song. It has a nice melody and Darin sounds great as ever. The chorus is a bit mesmerizing. The music video shows Darin walking and driving around not looking happy. See it in our 2024 Poptastic Confessions YouTube Playlist.

"Moonlight" was written by Will Simms, Conor Maynard, Darin Zanyar, Jenson Vaughan, and Leo Stannard. It was produced by Will Smmi. It is available on digital outlets everywhere. Buy your copy today! Listen to it on our 2024 Poptastic Confessions Playlist on Spotify ...

Falling For U by Carda

Dear Poptastic Readers,

Carda is back with his third single this year, and this one is aimed at the dance floor. It is called "Falling For U" and we think you are going to like it. We do! Carda's previous singles this year were similarly titled "Wild Eyes" and "Sad Eyes."

"Falling For U" is also credited to producer Warren and singer Chikaya. It is also a slightly different sound from Carda, as the beat is quite fast. However, it starts off sounding a bit somber until Chikaya comes in followed by the beats. Our only complaint is that it is a bit short as it clocks in at just over 2 minutes and 30 seconds. That just makes us want to play it again and again. We've added the official audio to our 2024 Poptastic Confessions YouTube Playlist.

"Falling For U" was written by Adrian Cardamone (Carda), Beth Davies, and Keith Warren. It was produced by Warren and Carda. It is available on digital outlets everywhere. Buy your copy today. Listen to it on our 2024 Poptastic Confessions Playlist on Spotify ...

Our 13th Anniversary!

Dear Poptastic Readers,

Today is our 13th Anniversary! That's right, our first post was on June 20, 2011If you are new to this blog, we highlight current music that gets overlooked by the masses, whether it be independent artists, veteran artists, or artists from other countries. We prove time and time again that there is much more to pop music than what mainstream radio plays.

Two years ago, on our 10th anniversary, several artists sent us videos wishing us a happy 10th anniversary. You can watch all of the videos on this playlist below. They are in this order: Glass Slipper, Annikafiore, Christie, Carda, Normski, Clara Mae, Isle Of You, Chris Tall, Francine Belle, Ani Glass, Alice D, Henrikes, Gabby of REYNA, Jody Watley, John von Ahlen of Parralox, and Davearama. Watch the videos here ...

We are known for our year-end countdowns of our favourite songs of the year. It pretty much takes up most of December as we highlight one song each day in the Top 21. It takes a lot of work narrowing down the list and putting it in order. We basically have to start in early to mid-November each year to have it ready in time. Check out our top songs by year ...

Friend by Sarah von Reis

Dear Poptastic Readers,

Edge Of Us by Natasha Hamilton

Dear Poptastic Readers,

Atomic Kitten singer Natasha Hamilton is out with her first-ever solo single called "Edge Of Us." We last heard from her is when Atomic Kitten re-recorded their biggest hit "Whole Again" for an English football event in 2021.

"Edge Of Us" is an edgy dance pop song with a few tempo changes. The sound is a bid reminiscent of clubland in the early 2000s. Natasha still has a very strong voice and she certainly belts this one out. Check out the official music video in our 2024 Poptastic Confessions Playlist on Spotify.

When The Night Is Over by Honey

Dear Poptastic Readers,

Swedish duo Honey have a new song out called "When The Night Is Over." You may remember that we featured their song "What Now" two years ago and it was giving us serious ABBA vibes.

"When The Night Is Over" is a bit nostalgic sounding, with a twist of modern, too. It has a great melody and Honey sounds so good. Yes, they are still giving ABBA vibes. However, the middle 8 is almost a rap, and it has lots of attitude. We've added the official audio to our 2024 Poptastic Confessions YouTube Playlist ...
