#14 in Poptastic Confessions Top 101 Songs of 2023 is: “Goodbye Berlin” by Parralox. Click on the name to see what we wrote about it earlier this year.


 

Written and produced by: John von Ahlen

 

Why: “Goodbye Berlin” is danceable, dark electro pop song about going through a bad situation and trying see the way out. Poptastic Confessions Editor Davearama remembers: "I met John (von Ahlen) in Melbourne in February 2019 and during our first meeting he told me about this song he had written during a terrible stay in Berlin." The original version of the song appeared on the group's album Genesis. The new single mix really adds to the song and we love it.
