Motivation and Versailles by Carly Rae Jepesen

Dear Poptastic Readers,

In August, we featured "Don't Leave Me On The Dancefloor" by Carly Rae Jepsen. Since then, she has released two more singles: "Motivation" and "Versailles." They are all from her new album called Day And Night, which is out now.

"Motivation" is a fun upbeat song that will make you want to dance around the room. The dance beat, house keys, and echoing bass. Carly's vocals are great, and there are some interesting backing vocals too. The music video feel like it is a love letter to people around the world, especially the LGBTQ+ community. You also see Carly's new baby at the end. We love it. We've added the video to our 2026 Poptastic Confessions YouTube Playlist ...

And now for the last single ...

"Versailles" is an unusual pop song. It has a lovely vocal melody over some interesting dance beats, but before you get too used to it, the music and tempo completely changes. The tempos change 2 more times. It almost sounds like 2 songs put together. We've also added the music video to our 2026 Poptastic Confessions YouTube Playlist ...

"Motivation" was written by Carly Rae Jepsen, Cole MGN, and Nate Cyphert. It was produced by Cole MGN and Kylie Shearer. Mastered by Ruairi O'Flaherty. Mixed by Tom Norris.
"Versailles" was written by Elias Kapari, Carly Rae Jepsen, Noonie Bao, and Markus Krunegard. It was produced by Elias Kapari. Mastered by Ruairi O'Flaherty. Mixed by Tom Elmhirst.
Both are available on digital outlets everywhere. Buy your copies today! Listen to them on our 2026 Poptastic Confessions Playlist on Spotify.

Good time,
—Sausi O'Sullivan
