Belinda Carlisle has released her third single this year from her forthcoming album of cover versions called Once Upon A Time in California. The new single is called "One." It was written and originally recorded by Harry Nilsson in 1968. It became a bigger hit for Three Dog Night in 1969. Belinda's previous 2 singles this year were: "The Air That I Breath" and "Get Together."
Belinda's take on "One" is a faithful cover with classic sounds that it was recorded with a live band. Belinda gives a commanding vocal performance. We like it, but we feel it has a rather abrupt fade at the end. Hopefully, there will be a longer version on her album.
