Belinda Carlisle has released her second single of the year and it is called "Get Together." This follows "The Air That I Breathe" that was released in June. Both songs are from her forthcoming album due later this month called Once Upon A Time In California.
"Get Together" is a classic song written and originally recorded by Chet Powers in 1963, but it was initially released by The Youngbloods in 1967. It has been remade many times over the years by various artists, so the chorus will probably be familar. The lyrics are especially timely: “Come on people now, smile on each other. Everybody, get together. Try to love one another, right now.” Belinda does a nice job with this cover.
