Do What U Like by Love Foundation (UK), Berri, and LoveRush

Dear Poptastic Readers,

Love Foundation (UK), Berri, and LoveRush have all teamed up for a new song called "Do What U Like." You might remember that we featured "Suga" by Love Foundation (UK) with Whigfield earlier this year. Last year, we featured "Overthinking" by Berri. It is our first time featuring LoveRush.

"Do What U Like" is a hi-nrg house pop track. The relentless dance beat will have you moving in no time. Berri's vocals are quite good and carry the melody with ease. This is really good! Sadly, there is no music video, visualizer, or lyric video. We've added the official audio to our 2026 Poptastic Confessions YouTube Playlist ...

"Do What U Like" was written by Mark Schneider, Derek Mark McMillen, Julian Napolitano, Rebecca Sleight, and Scott Shephard. It was produced by Love Foundation (UK) and LoveRush. Mark McGurrin was the recording engineer. It is available for purchase on digital outlets everywhere. Buy your copy today. We've added it to our 2026 Poptastic Confessions Playlist on Spotify.

Waste My Time and Funny Feeling by Benjamin Ingrosso

Dear Poptastic Readers,

Swedish artist Benjamin Ingrosso recently released 2 singles on the same day: "Waste My Time" and "Funny Feeling." Both are believed to be from his upcoming album, but no title or release date has been given.

"Waste My Time" is a song about being in love. The feel-good music is uplifting. Benjamin sounds great, as always. The music features Benjamin and his girl hanging out in the city and driving through the countryside in a convertible. But is it all a dream? Watch it on our 2026 Poptastic Confessions YouTube Playlist ...

And now for the second single ...

"Funny Feeling" is quite the different song about being in love. The happy-go-lucky music sounds breezy, and the melody is quite relaxing. However, the lyrics are a bit dark as it sounds like obsession. The music video is quite disturbing as it features violence, blood, and gore. Watch with caution. We've also added the music video to our 2026 Poptastic Confessions YouTube Playlist ...

"Waste My Time" was written by Jon Shave, Benjamin Ingrosso, Timothy Collins, Shazaam, Montgomery, and Bill Maybury. It was produced by Jonathan Rado, Kane Ritchotte, Jon Shave, and Benjamin Ingrosso. It was Mixed by Ian Gold. Mastered by Björn Engelmann.

"Funny Feeling" was written by Benjamin Ingrosso, Shazaam, Montgomery, David Stewart, Pablo Bowman, and Timothy Collins. It was produced by Jonathan Rado, Kane Ritchotte, and Benjamin Ingrosso. Vocal producers are Wile Enblad and Ian Gold, who also mixed the track. Mastered by Björn Engelmann.

They are available on digital outlets everywhere. Buy your copies today! We've added them to our 2026 Poptastic Confessions Playlist on Spotify.

Let It Love by Karin Kasar featuring Real McCoy

Dear Poptastic Readers,

Karin Kasar has released her debut solo single called "Let It Love" featuring Real McCoy. Karin was the main female singer on Real McCoy's 1995 album Another Night, which included the hits "Another Night", "Run Away", "Come And Get Your Love", "Automatic Lover (Call For Love)", "Love And Devotion." The women in the group during that time lip-synced to Karin's vocals.

"Let It Love" commands this delightful pop song with her strong vocal. She sounds like she is having a blast singing it, and we love it. The music is an upbeat and it just makes you feel happy. O-Jay from Real McCoy has a fun rap in the middle. We quite like it. We've added the official audio to our 2026 Poptastic Confessions YouTube Playlist ...

"Let it Love" was written by Amaro Jeglitza. It was produced by Olaf "O-Jay" Jeglitza (Real McCoy). It was co-produced by Stefan Kießling. It is available for purchase on digital outlets everywhere. Buy your copy today. We've added it to our 2026 Poptastic Confessions Playlist on Spotify.

Danceteria Afterhours by Madonna & Charli XCX

Dear Poptastic Readers,

Ever since Madonna released her latest album Confessions II in July, we've been waiting for Madonna to release "Danceteria" as an official single, as it is our favourite song on the album. In late August, Madonna released the Harry Romero Remix. She has just released a new version of the song, and it is called "Danceteria Afterhours" with Charli XCX, although the artwork for the single just says "Danceteria."

"Danceteria Afterhours" is definitely new take on the song. Charli sings all new verses with lyrics from her perspective, which is cool. However, it comes at a cost as some of the original Madonna lyrics are missing here. Some our favourite lines about Debbie Mazar, Nile Rodgers, and The B-52's are gone. That's a bummer. However, this isn't by any means bad. We like it. We think we just prefer the original version, that's all. No disrespect to Charli as we like her. We are also still waiting for the original music video to be released in full. For now, we've added the official audio for "Danceteria Afterhours" to our 2026 Poptastic Confessions YouTube Playlist ...

"Danceteria Afterhours" was written by Madonna, Charlotte Aitchison, Andrew Watt, Henry Walter, Stuart Price, Lou Reed, and Jeremiah Patrick Lordan. It was produced by Stuart Price, Madonna, Andrew Watt, and Cirkut. Mixed by Stuart Price. Mastered by Ruairi O'Flaherty. It is available on digital outlets everywhere. Buy your copy today! We've added it to our 2026 Poptastic Confessions Playlist on Spotify.

The Harry Romero Remix can be found on our 2026 Remix Confessions Playlist on Spotify.

Ghost by Sugababes

Dear Poptastic Readers,

It's a glorious day as Sugababes just released a new song called "Ghost." They've also announced their self-titled album to be released in February of 2027. Here is the cover for their upcoming album Sugababes ...

The only bummer is that there is no official single artwork for "Ghost" as they used the upcoming album cover. Well, we made some new covers rather quickly. Up first is the faux cover to look like their singles last year. If you need a reminder, they were "Jungle" (#2 in our Top 101 Songs of 2025), "Weeds", and "Shook" (#5 in our Top 101 Songs of 2025).

The first 10 seconds of "Ghost" start off a bit distorted, but the song quickly gets its midtempo groove. Mutya takes the lead on the first verse. The lyrics are about a bad relationship that didn't work. The vocals are wonderful during the chorus. The second verse is split between Keisha, Mutya, and Siobhan. The middle bit features Keisha and Mutya, and then Siobhan before they all come in for some heavenly vocals. Here's another faux cover ...

The music video for "Ghost" is a bit epic. It starts off with Mutya looking fierce while sitting at a grave. There is a funeral procession with the Sugababes, a dance troupe, a mysterious older woman, and classic hearse. Keisha and Siobhan's solo bit take place in a church. It is quite good. We've added it to our 2026 Poptastic Confessions YouTube Playlist ...

We quite like that "Ghost" clocks in at 3:37, making it the longest song of singles from this album. Two of them were under 3 minutes. This is a delight to have the song around a bit longer. Here is another faux cover ...

"Ghost" was written by Keisha Buchanan, Mutya Buena, Siobhan Donaghy, Wayne Hector, and Jon Shave. It was produced by John Shave. Keisha, Mutya, and Siobhan get vocal producer credits. Anya Jones is listed as associate producer. It was mixed by Geoff Swan with co-mixer Matt Cahill. It was mastered by Chris Gehringer.

It is available on digital outlets everywhere. Buy your copy today! We've added it to our 2026 Poptastic Confessions Playlist on Spotify.

Such Trying Times by Belvedere Kane

Dear Poptastic Readers,

We recently heard about a UK artist named Belvedere Kane who released one single in 1996 called "Never Felt As Good." Unfortunately, after the single, they were dropped by the label, and the album they recorded was shelved. Until this year! The album finally released after 30 years! WOO! The new album is called Such Trying Times.

This is a very fun album. It brings back fond memories of the time with songs having the gallop beat, soaring synths, and glorious sing-along melodies. Singer/songwriter Barry Stone must feel so happy having the music finally released after 30 years. We were so inspired by the album, that we made faux single covers for some of our favourite songs! Like this ...

The album starts off with a banging duet with Pete Burns of Dead Or Alive (who is no longer with us). It's a hi-nrg dance pop affair. We quite like this! The lyric video was released back in February! Check it out on our 2026 Poptastic Confessions YouTube Playlist ...

Let's see how it all started ...

"Never Felt As Good" is listed as the Kobold Album Version. It is a bit different from the actual 7" radio edit (and actual artwork above) that was released 30 years ago. We actually prefer the Kobold Album Version. Again, this anthem is fantastic. It is a shame we didn't know about it in 1996. The original music video has been updated to have the album version music. Check it out on our 2026 Poptastic Confessions YouTube Playlist ...

And for your consideration ...

"Getting Away With Murder" is the current focus track. Don't be fooled by the title! It's not a how-to, but an accusation! This is a fun song and we really like it. Looks like a video was filmed and maybe this was meant to be the second single back in the day. Check it out on our 2026 Poptastic Confessions YouTube Playlist ...

And one more ...

The one other song that we wanted to highlight is called "Isabella Rossellini." This is brilliant! The melody and clever lyrics are just ace. There is a lyric video that features a live performance from 30 years ago plus clips of Isabella. It is FABULOUS! We've added it to our 2026 Poptastic Confessions YouTube Playlist ...

"Legends (Forever Young)" was written by Julian Gingell, Hannah Robinson, Pete Burns, Steve Coy, Peter Oxendale, and Barry Stone. It was produced by The Alias.
"Never Felt As Good" and "Isabella Rossellini" were written and produced by Barry Stone.
"Getting Away With Murder" was written and produced by Julian Gingell and Barry Stone.

These songs and the rest of the album Such Trying Times are available for purchase on digital outlets everywhere. Buy your copies today. You can stream the album here ...

We've added these 4 songs to our 2026 Poptastic Confessions Playlist on Spotify.

Could this be love?

Easy by Flora Summers

Dear Poptastic Readers,

Swedish artist Flora Summers released a new song on Friday called "Easy." This is the fourth song this year from Flora. The previous three singles were: "Pretty Girls" and "Boom Boom", and "Losing You As Mine."

"Easy" is an easy-going pop song with a lovely melody. It has one of those choruses where you want to sway back and forth. It's a lovely light pop rock love song. We've added the official audio to our 2026 Poptastic Confessions YouTube Playlist ...

Crucified Reborn by Merkel x Rolinski

Dear Poptastic Readers,

Last year, Tess Merkel from Alcazar and Martin Rolinski from BWO teamed up for a tour called BWO vs Alcazar where they sang the hits of both groups. Earlier this year, they released their debut single called "Let There Be Love" under both their names. Now their duo name has been shortened to their last names, and they have just released a cover of "Crucified" by the legendary Army Of Lovers. Their new version is called "Crucified Reborn."

"Crucified Reborn" is not really a cover, but perhaps an interpolation. Of course, it uses the chorus of the original and some of the lyrics for the verses, but other lyrics are new. The melody is the same and slightly changed too. The music video is a visual treat. Army Of Lovers members Jean-Pierre and Alexander have some cameos. Tess and Martin have pulled out all the punches with this one, and it shows. We've added it to our 2026 Poptastic Confessions YouTube Playlist ...

"Crucified Reborn" was written by Alexander Bard, Anders Wolbeck, Jean-Pierre Barda, Tess Merkel, Martin Rolinski, and Johan Röhr. It is available on digital outlets everywhere. Buy your copy today! We've added it to our 2026 Poptastic Confessions Playlist on Spotify.

Rave The Nation by Rebecca & Fiona

Dear Poptastic Readers,

Swedish duo Rebeca & Fiona are back with a new track called "Rave The Nation." We last featured them in June with their single "RAMA."

"Rave The Nation" is another super-fast song! Rebecca & Fiona keep turning up the BPMs! We find this song is charming as the lyrics are a love song. There are lots of interesting musical elements here, and the choir near the end. We quite like it. We've added the official audio to our 2026 Poptastic Confessions YouTube Playlist ...
