Canadian artist Carly Rae Jepsen has a new song out that caught our ears. It is called "Don't Leave Me On The Dancefloor." While checking it out, we noticed that this was her third release of the year. Her two previous singles were "After All" and "On Wires." All three songs are from her album Day And Night.

"Don't Leave Me On The Dancefloor" is a glorious slice of disco pop. It has a lovely melody and Carly's vocals sound wonderful here. There are two versions of the music video. The original video features a storyline of a male dancer while Carly performs mostly in the background. The second version features Carly performing. Lose Myself by La Roux

La Roux is out with their third single this year and the new song is called "Lose Myself." This follows their singles "Cabin Fever" and "Babyline." All three songs are from the upcoming album Cabin Fever, which is due on November 6.

Butterflies by Honeyz

Dear Poptastic Readers,

English girl group Honeyz is back with a new song called "Butterflies." Honeyz is best known for their 1998 hit "Finally Found." They also had a lineup situation after one of the members quit during promotion of their third single. She was replaced by a member of Solid HarmoniE, but then she left after 2 more singles, and was replaced by the member who initially quit. Despite their controversial history over the years, the new lineup has 2 of the original members, and the lead singer's sister.

"Butterflies" is a power ballad with a nice melody. The vocals sound great, espcially during the big chorus! We hope there are some mixes available without the electric guitar bit. But overall, not bad. We've added it to the 2026 Poptastic Confessions YouTube Playlist ...

One of our readers let us know about a new song called "Say Now" by Lollipop. We weren't familiar with the group. They are an Italian girl group, which was put together on the TV show Poptastars in 2001. Their biggest hit was "Down Down Down." There were originally 5 members, but now they are a trio.

More Than Physical ('26 Mixes) by Bananarama

Last month, we featured the 40th anniversary of the album True Confessions by Bananarama. In that review, we also featured the Richard X Burning Flame '26 Mix of "Venus." The updated treatment continued to "More Than Physical" with two new '26 mixes!

The Luke Morney Jet Set '26 Mix was released first. It is very special, as remixer Luke Mornay was able to find vocals from the original recording that didn't make it on the finished versions. The line "Baby, my heart is set on you" was added back into the chorus. The music is a freshly updated, and this is quite the exciting release. We love it. Yesterday, we featured the re-release of "Love Sensation" by Madonna featuring new vocals from Kylie Minogue. Recently, Robyn also re-released her song "Talk To Me" with new vocals from Zara Larsson. 

The version of "Talk To Me" has a title change. It is now called "Talk To Me, Zara." Zara takes on the first verse, while Robyn remains on the second verse. Zara and Robyn split the chorus, but Zara has the more prominent part. The music features footage of Robyn and Zara at a concert together. Last week, Madonna re-released her single "Love Sensation" as a duet with Kylie Minogue. The new version is called the Afterhours Mix. Funnily enough, Kylie did something similar in 2018 when she released her single "Stop Me From Falling" and a month later she released a new version with the group Gente De Zona.

The new version of "Love Sensation" features Madonna on the first verse and Kylie on the second verse. Kylie and Madonna split the middle bits. They both join in on the choruses. "Gravity" starts off a bit somber, but then the beat kicks in and it turns into an emotional hi-nrg stomper. It reminds us of that early 2000s eurodance sound but not sounding dated. Sister duo Aly & AJ have a new single out called "Year Of The Horse." They are probably most famous for their 2007 hit "Potential Breakup Song." However, in Poptastic Conefssions, our favourites have been: "Star Maps" (#16 in our Top 101 Songs of 2019) and "Don't Need Nothing" (#3 in our Top 101 Songs of 2021). 

"Year Of The Horse" is a light-rock pop song with hints of country music. It is very easy listening. Aly & AJ sing in unison and sound great on the melody. The video features the duo wondering around a concert venue as it was cancelled due to bad weather, and that connects with the lyrics of the song. Flora Summers has a brand-new song out today called "Boom Boom." Just last month, we featured her song "Pretty Girls." Last year, her song "Image" with Color Buzz was #3 in our Top 101 Songs of 2025. We also loved her song "Sweet Summer Feels" , which was #8 in our 101 Top Songs of 2023.

"Boom Boom" is a steady pop-rock song with a big sing-along chorus. It starts off sounding like demo, but then it quickly turns into guitar-heavy tune. Flora uses her lower register for the first verse but then belts out the chorus. Flora sings the second verse in a much higher register. Last year in July, we featured a song by Inga's Affairs called "De Pesca En Ikea." This song is sung in Spanish, and the title literally translates to "Fishing in IKEA", but it really means "Cruising for men in IKEA." Now Jupiter Pulse has recorded the song in English with La Emma.
