#9 in our Top Songs of 2013 is “Rockin’ The Ride” by Army Of Lovers. You can click on the song title to see what Poptastic Confessions had to say about it previously.
This is the first Top 10 entry from the group for us. How fitting as it is probably the last single with La Camilla, as she left the group after this song. The song
was an entry for Melodifestivalen in Sweden’s Eurovision song contest
countdown. The song didn’t win, but Army Of Lovers gave a sensational
performance.
Since
La Camilla was let go, her replacement was Dominika, who has been a member of
Army Of Lovers before. La Camilla and Dominika had another group that was
taking off called Happy Hoes and they’ve had songs in our Top 20 for the past
two years with “Don’t Try To Steal My Limelight” and “We Rule The World.” There
was a single slated for spring of this year called “Nemesis”, but it is
believed that Happy Hoes have disbanded. So sad.
