#15 of 2014

Dear Poptastic Readers,

#15 in our Top Songs of 2014 is “Blame It On The Disco” by Alcazar. Click on the title to read what we first wrote about it.

This was Alcazar’s big comeback in Sweden, as well as their Melodifestivalen entry. Melodifestivalen is Sweden’s competition to see which song represents the country in the Eurovision Song Contest. The song did well in the competition, but sadly it didn't win.

The song sounds very similar to their 2009 megahit “Stay The Night.” It is fun song that has a glorious key change. Just watch how they descend from a giant disco ball ...

“Blame It On The Disco” is available on most European digital outlets. Unfortunately, it is not available in the US.

Cheers then,
—The Poptastic Confessions Collective
