Arena by Rebecca & Fiona

Dear Poptastic Readers,

Sweden's ultracool duo Rebecca & Fiona are churning out the tunes this year. They've just released their third banger in a row. The new song is called "Arena." You might remember that we have already featured "All Or Nothing" and "Älskling."

"Arena" starts off sounding a bit trance. When then hi-nrg beat kicks in, you will want to have your hands in the hair dancing around the room. Rebecca & Fiona's lyrics and vocals are always so cool. They could sing a nursery rhyme and make it sound hip. We have added the official audio to our 2024 Poptastic Confessions YouTube Playlist ...

"Arena" was written Rebecca Scheja and Fiona Fitzpatrick. It was produced by Rebecca & Fiona and Carli Löf. It is available on digital outlets everywhere. Buy your copy today! Listen to it on our 2024 Poptastic Confessions Playlist on Spotify ...

Mermaid by Dolly Style

Dear Poptastic Readers,

Sweden's sugary sweet girl group Dolly Style have a new song out called "Mermaid." This is the third single that we have featured this year.  Check out "Mi Amor" and "Girls, Girls, Girls." At the bottom of this post, read the history of the group ...

"Mermaid" is an unusual turn for the group. This is less bubblegum and more epic electronica. There is a rhythm section and strings that sounds like it could be from a movie. This is very interesting. Hopefully there will be a music video. Until then, we've added the official audio to our 2024 Poptastic Confessions YouTube Playlist ...

"Mermaid" was written by Andreas Stone Johansson, Christian Karlström, and Laurell Barker. It was produced by Andreas Stone Johansson and Christian Karlström. It is available on streaming outlets. Listen to it on our 2024 Poptastic Confessions Playlist on Spotify

Do I Ever Cross Your Mind? by Alice Dallin

Dear Poptastic Readers,

It's been a year and a half since we have last heard from Alice D, now branded as Alice Dallin. We are happy to report that Alice is back with new music! "Do I Ever Cross Your Mind?" was released today! If you aren't familiar with Alice, please check out the links at the end of this post to explore more of her amazing music.

"Do I Ever Cross Your Mind?" in a mid-tempo groove with soaring strings. The lyrics are about wondering if an ex still thinks of you. We've all been there, so this is very relatable. Alice is a storyteller, and before long you realize that this song is also about self empowerment. Alice has such a wonderful way with her vocals as they are rich and warm, while also being both strong and soft. The video visualizer shows Alice walking along the beach dressed in black. Check it out in our 2024 Poptastic Confessions YouTube Playlist ...

Magnify by Real McCoy

Dear Poptastic Readers,

90s Eurodance legends are back with a new song called "Magnify." Now if you don't remember the Real McCoy, chances are you have heard some of their hits: "Another Night", "Run Away", "Come And Get Your Love", "Automatic Lover (Call For Love)", "Love And Devotion", "One More Time", "I Wanna Come (With You)", and their remake of Shaina Twain's "(If You're Not In It For Love) I'm Outta Here." You might even remember that we interviewed with former Real McCoy singer Lisa Cork-Twiss in 2013.

The female vocalists on the new song "Magnify" are all new to the group. In 2016, O-Jay reunited with Karen, the vocalist who was on a lot of their early hits. The new singers are Sara and Mac. The fun dance song features the new singers prominently where O-Jay comes in with his deep rap vocals. There are 2 versions of the song: Eurosoul Mix and the K.I.S.T.E Reflip. The later is on Spotify and we've added it to our 2024 Poptastic Confessions YouTube Playlist ...

"Magnify" was written by Deborah Vivien Butts, Olaf (O-Jay) Jeglitza, Stefan Kießling. It was produced by K.I.S.T.E. It is available on digital outlets everywhere. Buy your copy today! Listen to it on our 2024 Poptastic Confessions Playlist on Spotify ...

Karma Is A by Margaret Berger

Dear Poptastic Readers,

We recently heard "Karma Is A" by Margaret Berger and we quite liked it. Margaret is a Norwegian singer and she had two Top 10 hits in Norway with "Samantha" in 2006, and "I Feed You My Love" in 2013. We have heard some of her music before like "Running With Scissors" in 2016 , but this is the first time that we feature her in Poptastic Confessions.

"Karna Is A" sounds very much like Robyn, so you know it sounds good. It's very electro pop with a really good melody. The catchy chorus will having you singing along in no time. Margaret gives a strong vocal performance. We've added the official visualizer to our 2024 Poptastic Confessions YouTube Playlist ...

Legs (Keep Dancing) by Vanessa Williams

Dear Popastic Readers,

Vanessa Williams is out with a new song called "Legs (Keep Dancing)" and it is quite good.
