Talk To Me and Sexistential by Robyn

Dear Poptastic Readers,

Happy Wednesday! Sweden's Robyn released two new songs today! Glory be! They are called "Talk To Me" and "Sexistential." Both songs are from her forthcoming album also titled Sexistential due in March. The first single from the album was "Dopamine", which was #19 in our Top 101 Songs of 2025.

Up first is "Talk To Me." We absolutely love this song. It is upbeat and instantly catchy. We will be singing it all day. The music is bit funky with a pop chorus. The music is really fun as Robyn is dancing around with dancers. This is so good. Watch it on our 2026 Poptastic Confessions YouTube Playlist ...

"Sexistential" is Robyn rapping, and well, the lyrics are bit funny and very adult-themed as the F-word is used many times. It is rather funny, and the beat is dope. It is very remincient of her song "Konichiwa Bitches." We've added the lyric video to our 2026 Poptastic Confessions YouTube Playlist ...

"Talk To Me" was written by Klas Ahlund, Martin Sandberg, Oscar Holter, and Robyn Carlsson. It was produced by Klas Ahlund and Oscar Holter. "Sexistential" was written and produced by Klaus Ahlund and Robyn. They are available for purchase on digital outlets everywhere. Buy your copy today. We've added them to our 2026 Poptastic Confessions Playlist on Spotify.

You'll Never Love Me Again and I Let You Go by Jupiter Pulse

Dear Poptastic Readers,

While we were doing our countdown in December, Jupiter Pulse released a new song with Ann Seeza called "You'll Never Love Me Again." Then on January 2, Jupiter Pulse released another new song with David Adavi called "I Let You Go." We'll review both songs here ...

First up is "You'll Never Love Me Again" featuring Ann Seeza. This epic mid-tempo pop song has a wonderful, haunting melody. Anna gives an outstanding vocal performance. The lyrics are about a past love who will never come back. We quite like this. We've added the official audio to our 2026 Poptastic Confessions YouTube Playlist ...

Now for the next song ...

Next up is "I Let You Go" featuring David Adavi. This picks up the pace and like the previous song, the lyrics are also about a past love, but this time the singer regrets letting go. The music is quite good, and David sounds amazing. We really like this too! The official audio is also on our 2026 Poptastic Confessions YouTube Playlist ...

Both "You'll Never Love Me Again" and "I Let You Go" were written by Juan Pedro Pérez Gallego, and produced by FMD. They are available for purchase on digital outlets everywhere. Buy your copy today. We've added them to our 2026 Poptastic Confessions Playlist on Spotify.

More than one entry from one artist: It is not uncommon for artists to have two or more songs in our Top 21. However, this year only the Sugababes had 2 songs in the Top 21. Kudos to them because both were in the Top 5.

Newcomers: The newcomers to our Top 21 this year were: Color Buzz, Inga's Affairs, Saint Etienne, Confidence Man, Shygirl, Ferris Pier, Izzy Bizu, Alison Goldfrapp, Tom Aspaul, Christine and the Queens, and Cerrone.

Other #1 artists on the countdown: There were 3 artists in our Top 21 who have been at the #1 spot before. They were ...

"Deep In Love" by Rikky Disco was #1 in 2021

Most consecutive years on the countdown: Dolly Style may not have always been in our Top 21, but they have been on our countdown every year since 2015. Now they have a #1. We will be featuring a new song from them this week.

Who was missing this year? Australian artist Carda has been in our Top 21 for the last 7 years. That's right, from 2018 to 2024, Carda was always in our Top 21. However, he took 2025 off from releasing music. He promises more tunes in 2026.

Where were artists from? Check out these stats ...

 9 artists from Sweden
8 artists from the UK
2 artists from Australia
2 artists from France
1 artist from Denmark
