Why: “Padam Padam” oozes with coolness. It was the song of the summer, and thus the song of the year. We just couldn’t get enough of it all year long. “Padam” took on a life of its own in the LGBTQ+ community. We absolutely love it. Even listening to it today, it brings back such fun memories of 2023.

Watch: The music video directed by Sophie Muller is a visual delight in red. Those dancers and the dance routine really sold it. Kylie looks as fabulous as ever. See it on our 2023 Poptastic Confessions Playlist on YouTube.

Live performance: Our favourite live performance was when Kylie surprised the crowd in London at Capital’s Summertime Ball.

Why: “Back To You” is an amazing pop song with an incredible bridge leading up to the chorus. It became an ear worm and we simply could not get enough of it. We love, love, love this so much!

#3 in Poptastic Confessions Top 101 Songs of 2023 is: “Feel The Love” by Bananarama. Click on the name of the song to see what we first wrote about it.

Why: “Feel The Love” is a trance pop anthem for feeling good about yourself. This is the Bananarama version of a self help book, now available in a song. The melody is quite nice and you will be singing along in no time. It does have a great message: believe in yourself.
