Why: “Sexodus” is an epic song that is about a sexual migration? Unsure what the true meaning is here, but it doesn't matter because this song is FUN! The lyrics are so tongue-in-cheek as many Army Of Lovers songs are. Dominika takes the lead with the verses, and Jean-Pierre has the bridge in French. Alexander says "Tower of Babel" several times, which is the myth of how different languages were formed. It's like a history lesson where you don't learn anything. We love it. Angels, Demons, Idols ... this is camp!
Live performance: Sadly, Army Of Lovers didn't make any music videos for their singles this year. But thankfully, they lip synced it on a Swedish TV Show. The out-of-sync dance moves are part of their charm.
Chart history: Army Of Lovers had 7 songs in our Top 101 this year, and 3 of those songs were in our Top 21, and this is their highest placement. Had the songs been around longer than October, they might have been higher on the list, but they still made quite the showing this year. Check out their history on our countdowns over the years ...
