#1 of 2014

Dear Poptastic Readers,

#1 in our Top Songs of 2014 is "Not Giving Up" by The Saturdays. Click on the title to read what we first wrote about the song.

We absolutely love The Saturdays! They are such a fun group. They have been on our radar for awhile now. This song stayed with us all year long, even though we had heard it last year — and it almost wasn't a single!

"Not Giving Up" was their last single from their album Living for the Weekend, which was out last year. It looked like the record company was going to scrap any more singles after "Disco Love." Well, "Not Giving Up" was such a fan favorite ... they decided to release it as single for the fans. And these fans at Poptastic Confessions couldn't be more happy!

The video is lovely! They all look amazing. And the glow lights are fun! Check it out ...

"Not Giving Up" is available in the US on iTunes in the album Living For The Weekend. If you want the slightly remixed single, you'll have to get it on mp3va.com with a prepaid account. The remixed single is on their greatest hits collection Finest Selection. Don't delay. Buy it today!

Cheers then,

#2 of 2014

Dear Poptastic Readers,

#2 in our Top Songs of 2014 is "Crying On The Dancefloor" by Parralox featuring Francine. Click on the title to read what we first wrote about it.

"Crying On The Dancefloor" is AMAZING! It almost was our #1 song of the year. It was very, very close. We really hope it is not the last time Parralox and Francine work together, because the result was fantastic!

Parralox featuring Francine

As we mentioned in our post when we first heard the song, we weren't familiar with Parralox. We sure have enjoyed listening to the back catalogue this year and we are very much looking forward to new music from them.

We knew of Francine through her short-lived group The Face. Their song "Love Stuck" with Dream Beats landed at #9 of Poptastic Confessions Top 20 songs of 2012. We had followed Francine on Twitter and Facebook, which is how we heard of the song.

The video for "Crying On The Dancefloor" is good fun and they all look fantastic. Have a look ...

"Crying On The Dancefloor" should have been a global smash hit everywhere. Well, here on Poptastic Confessions, it is. The song and mixes are available on all digital outlets. Don't delay. Buy it today!

Cheers then,

#3 of 2014

Dear Poptastic Readers,

#3 of our Top Songs of 2014 is "Dancer" by Jody Watley. Click on the title to read what we first wrote about the song.

"Dancer" is one of those amazing tracks from Jody's fabulous album Paradise. We are pretty sure that Jody announced on her Facebook page that "Dancer" would be the follow-up single to "Nightlife" — which was #1 on Poptastic Confessions songs of 2013! So we quickly put "Dancer" on our 2014 playlist and it has been played many times this year!

Paradise

The actual single release hasn't happened yet. We hope it is still planned. We thought about waiting to put this song on for next year, but the fact is "Dancer" has been part of the soundtrack to 2014. So we included it! Plus, Davearama met Jody Watley this year! It was a dream come true!

Davearama and Jody

There isn't an official video, but a fan has put the song on YouTube so that you can hear the awesome track. Just have a listen!

January 2016 update: There is music video and it features SRL! Watch it here ...

Jody Watley is returning to the Bay Area in February. We'd love to see her again. The show is on the day after Davearama's birthday. However, it is on Arturo's birthday. So we'll have to see what our plans are.

"Dancer" and Paradise are available on all digital outlets. There were even physical CDs available on Jody's website. Buy it if you can, the artwork is glorious and there is even a bonus track on the CD. Don't delay. Buy it today!

Cheers then,
