#4 in our Top Songs of 2014 is "Surge" by Glass Slipper. Click on the title to read what we first wrote about it.
As you know, Glass Slipper hold a special place in our heart because singer Lisa and musician Brad Electro met because of Poptastic Confessions. They've had a busy year putting out song after song! "Surge" was their first release this spring when it was released on sampler by the label Oh So Coy Recordings. Funnily enough, it was also their last release of the year as remixes and the proper release came in December after I started the countdown.
"Surge" was one of those songs that stayed with us all year. I love how cool it is. Lisa's vocals are amazing. You can even hear Brad on vocals, too. Our only complaint (and it isn't really much of one) was that there was no official radio edit.
Glass Slipper even dropped a video for "Surge" this month! Although they aren't in the video, it is pretty awesome! Have a look ...
