Children of the Universe by Molly

Dear Poptastic Readers,

Sorry I haven't updated in a couple of weeks. Life gets busy. But there is good news! There is new music from Molly Smitten-Downes. Now surely you remember her from last year with her collaboration with Dream Beats. Their song "Beneath The Lights" came in at #19 on our 2013 Poptastic Countdown.

Molly's new song is called "Children of the Universe." And the song is the UK's entry for the Eurovision Song Contest! Congrats, Molly! We haven't been this excited for a UK entry since 2007 when Scooch did "Flying The Flag (For You)." Although in retrospect, we should have paid a bit more attention in 2009 when Jade Ewen sang "It's My Time." We didn't know she would end up being a Sugababe!

Anyhoo, back to Molly. The song is pretty good. Not as dancey as "Beneath The Lights." But it is very good, indeed. And it has a nice chorus that makes it easy for you to sing along. And the video is quite nice, too. Just have a look!

Well, there you have it! Good luck to Molly in Eurovision! Like Molly on Facebook.

"Children of the Universe" isn't available on iTunes in the US. I'm not sure if it is elsewhere. But you can go to mp3va.com and get it with a prepaid account. You will have to search for Eurovision 2014.

Cheers then,

Today is the day that you can buy "Surge" by Glass Slipper on iTunes. Don't delay, buy it today! And for you convenience, click here to go directly to iTunes!

BradElectro and Lisa Cork-Twiss are Glass Slipper

If you don't know who Glass Slipper is, then read our introduction them here. They met because of Poptastic Confessions! And because of that, and they have our full support. It also helps that their music is deeply FAB!

Their first released track is called "Surge" and it is wonderful slice of deep house. The music will have you grooving and Lisa's vocals are soaring. It is so nice to hear Lisa's beautiful voice showcased here. And as an extra bonus, she has done all of the female backing vocal parts. Such a talent! You can even hear BradElectro's deep voice on the track.

Please help support the artist with their new track. Share this blog entry with your friends or just share the iTunes link with your friends. Just share the love!

Cheers then,

Holler by Rebecca & Fiona

Dear Poptastic Readers,

Rebecca & Fiona are back again with the second single called "Holler" from their forthcoming sophomore album Beauty Is Pain.

No, the track is not a remake of the Spice Girls song. Instead, it's actually quite a lovely song. It has a really nice melody and the music is subtle. It's very unlike their 2013 singles "Union" (PC#3 of 2013) and "Taken Over" (PC#12 of 2013). While I loved both of those tracks, the latter was a bit in your face. "Holler" isn't like that. It is an instant grower. Once you hear it, you're going to want to hit repeat.

Their sophomore album Beauty Is Pain is due later in the month. If you don't have their debut album, I would highly recommend it. It's called I Love You, Man!

The video for "Holler" is out and the girls are channeling the 90s with Madonna's Blonde Ambition hairdo and the Spice Girls platform shoes. Check out those Nokia cell phones! I had one exactly like that!

"Holler" is available on iTunes. Don't delay, buy it today.

Cheers then,
