Golden by Kylie Minogue

Dear Poptastic Readers,

This week, Kylie Minogue celebrated her 50th birthday (Happy Birthday, Kylie!) and the third single release from her #1 smash album Golden. What is the new single called? Why it is the title track "Golden" of course!

Even though most of the album is country pop. "Golden" is the least country of the three singles released. It is a bit guitar driven, but we don't think the music screams "country." Sure, there are some country elements.

Kylie filmed the video in Havana while she was there filming her second video for "Stop Me From Falling" with Gente de Zona. The video has Kylie showing off some lovely sequined dresses, one she even gets in the ocean with. There is also a fresh-faced Kylie without makeup on for some closeups. Just have a look ...

"Golden" is available on digital outlets everywhere. Buy your copy today! We've added it to our 2018 Poptastic Confessions Playlist on Spotify. You'll also hear her previous singles "Dancing", "Stop Me From Falling" and the version of "Stop Me From Falling" with Gente De Zona there, too. Enjoy!~

Cheers then,

—Davearama

Better Me Better You by Clara Mae & Jake Miller

Dear Poptastic Readers,

Last week, Swedish siren Clara Mae released her new song and it is a duet with American singer Jake Miller. The song is called "Better Me Better You" and you are going to love it. We do.

"Better Me Better You" is song that Clara Mae wrote last year. It is a song about conflicting feelings while being in a relationship. Often the grass isn't greener on the other side. She felt like the song was a duet so she asked American singer Jake Miller to sing on it, and the result is wonderful. Check out the luscious video ...

Go ahead, watch it again. You know you want to. The song is hypnotizing and we love it. We've been highlighting Clara's music for a couple of years now, if you aren't familiar with her, please check out these songs that have been featured in Poptastic Confessions: "Strip" (our #19 song of 2016), "Parachute" with Galavant in 2016, "Taped Up Heart" with KREAM (our #4 song of 2017), "Downing" with KREAM in 2017, "I'm Not Her" (our #19 song of 2017), and "I Forgot" (2018). Storm by SuRie

Dear Poptastic Readers,

Last weekend was the Eurovision Song Contest. If you just asked yourself, "What is that?" Well, Eurovision was started in the 1950s to help bring European countries unite over music after the war. Each year, countries submit a song to represent their countries. The winner is decided based on a mixture of scores from the judges, as well as voters. This year, there was a performance that we can't seem to get out of our heads, and it wasn't the winner. It was the United Kingdom's entry with "Storm" by SuRie.

Perhaps you read about it on the news, but about halfway through SuRie's performance, a man rushed the stage and grabbed her microphone out of her hand to protest something. After a brief scuffle with security, the man was taken off stage. SuRie saw her microphone on the floor and picked it up finishing her song with amazing power and strength. Just have a look ...

Wasn't her performance incredible? Kudos to SuRie! She gave this interview on This Morning yesterday. Not only is she charming, but she handled the interview with grace. Check it out ...

We love SuRie! Sadly, her song came in at #24 out of 26. It doesn't matter. SuRie is a wonderful singer and beautiful person, and "Storm" is a lovely uplifting song. We hope her career continues. In the meantime, "Storm" is available on digital outlets everywhere. Buy your copy today. We've added "Storm" to our 2018 Poptastic Confessions Playlist on Spotify. Enjoy!~

Cheers then,
