Confessions II by Madonna

Dear Poptastic Readers,

Today, Madonna released her first new album in 7 years and it is called Confessions II, which is a sequel of sorts to her 2005 album Confessions On A Dancefloor. We've already featured the first 3 singles: "I Feel So Free", "Bring Your Love" with Sabrina Carpenter, and "Love Sensation."

We've listened about 4 times today and we really hope that "Danceteria" is the next single as it is absolutely amazing. Other favourites are "Read My Lips", "One Step Away", and "My Sins Are My Savior" (featuring Stromae), which samples the Army Of Lovers song "My Army Of Lovers." The are some quite emotional songs like "Fragile", "The Test", and "L.E.S. Girl."

This will be on repeat all weekend. Have a listen here ...

Yellow Top by Icona Pop

Dear Poptastic Readers,

Swedish duo Icona Pop released their fourth single this year and it is called "Yellow Top." This follows the singles "Ritual", "Dance To This", and "Butterfly Feelings." All of these songs are from their forthcoming album Ritual.

"Yellow Top" is the perfect summer song. It starts off a bit dreamy and then the beat kicks in! This really has insanely catchy chorus! We absolutely love this! Let's all go to the city by the beach! There is an official lyric video that shows Aino and Caroline catching some ray by the beach. We've added it to our 2026 Poptastic Confessions YouTube Playlist ...

Dear Poptastic Readers,

There a new disco ditty called "Dancing Without You" by Disco Bambino, Nile Rodgers, and Sophie Ellis-Bextor! We'd never heard of Disco Bambino before, but he is an Italian disco producer named Giuseppe Savoni.

"Dancing Without You" is a lovely disco pop song. The disco music is lush and there are lots of interesting elements. Sophie sounds amazing as always and handles the melody with ease. There is something very ABBA-esque about the chorus, as it just sounds so sophisticated. There is a video visualizer where the 3 artists are hanging out and dancing. We've added it to our 2026 Poptastic Confessions YouTube Playlist ...
