Fade To Grey by Le Crash

Dear Poptastic Readers,

New artist alert! Swedish group Le Crash have released their debut single called "Fade To Grey." You might recognize the title as it was originally recorded by the English group Visage in 1980. Le Crash is giving us very strong Alcazar vibes. In fact, the women in Le Crash have recently done some shows with Andreas of Alcazar. 

"Fade To Grey" is nice modern update with the female and male parts of the song being reversed. It's has been transformed from a synth pop classic, to a futuristic transpop anthem. We quite like it. Swedish artist Chris Tall is back with his third solo single this year and it is called "Dancing In My Head." This follows the previous singles "Saturday" and "In The Sunshine." We also say solo because Chris is one half of Rikky Disco, and their big single this year is "I Want You Back", which we absolutely love. Click on the song title to see the new music video.

"Dancing In My Head" has that classic synth sound like an accordian, and it is remincent of "Tu Es Foutu"/"You Promised Me" by In-Grid from 2002. Having said that, "Dancing On My Own" stands on its own as an instant classic. Coming at the end of summer just makes all those memories burn ever so brightly so that they will be dancing in your head. Norwegian artist Julie Bergan is out with a new song called "Make Myself Happy." Hooray! We featured her previous song "Dance All Night" back in March. Last year, Julie completely captivated us with her song "Kiss Me Better", which was #9 in our Top 101 Songs of 2024.

"Make Myself Happy" is a fun dance pop song, and Julie definitely knows how to turn them out. This is one of those songs that is easy to get lost it, and because the song is short (only 2:25), you'll want to hit replay as soon as it ends. We are back after a needed break. While we were away, we heard this trance pop song called "Unstoppable" by Milk Inc. The group is from Belgium, and the name rang a bell as we remembered a remix they did for "Life Is A Flower by Ace Of Base in 1998.

"Unstoppable" is aimed right at the dance floor, and proving that trance is still alive and kicking. It has elements that will bring you back to the early 2000s, but it also sounds fresh and modern. The vocals are quite good, too. There is a video of them performing the song on top of a very tall water tower, and we have added it to our 2025 Poptastic Confessions YouTube Playlist ...

Supersexy by Nebulossa

Dear Poptastic Readers,

Spanish group Nebulossa has a new song out called "Supersexy" and we quite like it. We became familiar with the group earlier this year when we heard their 2024 song "Zorra." With that song, they represented Spain in the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest, but we missed it. D'oh! While checking out "Supersexy", we also liked the previous single. Details below.

"Supersexy" is sung in Spanish, but you don't have to speak it to enjoy this fun song. Not only is fun, but is full-on disco-pop camp! We love it. The music video is colorful joyous experience! We've added it to our 2025 Poptastic Confessions YouTube Playlist ...

In June, Nebulossa released a song called "Ya No Say La Mismo", which translates to "It's Not The Same Anymore."
