Just a quick update to let you know that Bananarama's 2009 electropop album Viva is now available on Spotify in the USA.
When the album was released, it was only available in the UK. A quick search on iTunes this morning and Viva is there in the US store. I'm not sure when that happened, but I got an email from Spotify this week saying they've added Viva to the US.
The album's producer is Ian Masterson, from Trouser Enthusiasts. He gave the Nanas an electro wall of sound feel. Also what is great about this album is that Keren and Sara are singing solo all over the place. Usually, they sing in unison. They tried something different, and the result was amazing.
The album starts off with the first single "Love Comes." The song is brilliant! And honestly one of their best! Just watch the amazing video here ...
The second track on the album was the second single "Love Don't Live Here." It's a bit dramatic and fabulous. Watch the video here ...
Viva was originally supposed to be an album of cover versions. But they scrapped that and kept a few remakes like "Rapture", "The Runner" and "S-S-S Single Bed."
Other highlights on the album are "Dum Dum Boy" and "We've Got The Night."
So if you have Spotify, give Viva a listen. It stills feels fresh six years later. And if you really like it, head over to iTunes and buy it.
Enjoy the weekend!
Cheers then,

GReat to hear they are getting more exposure in the U.S.
