Hot on the heels of her previous single “Vicious Bitch”, Marcella Detroit is back once again with the release of her brand new single “Alien 2 Me” – the second to be taken from her forthcoming new album Gold, celebrating an incredible 50 years in the music business.
“Alien 2 Me” is an epic dancefloor filler remixed by the legendary 7th Heaven, featuring operatic vocals from Marcy and melancholy lyrics about the state of the world; “Feel like I don’t belong, countdown till I’m gone, cos I’m tired… living in a world without love”.
The music video (directed by Marcy’s husband, Lance Aston) is a fun watch too. Marcy is looking fantastic rocking out in her spacesuit, while cute alien faces lip-sync the words to the song. The video ends with her walking off with her new alien friends; “Hey, don’t leave without me!”
Marcy has recently been treating her loyal fanbase to Instagram live sessions every Saturday, where she has been delving behind the scenes of her new music, answering questions and giving speak previews of unreleased tracks/remixes. Make sure you’re following Marcy to get involved!
