Happy Monday! Last year we featured English girl group Remember Monday when they represented England in Eurovision with the song "What The Hell Just Happened." That was was bold, but their new song "More Than Ever" is on the softer side of things.
"More Than Ever" is a step up from being a ballad, and more like a mid-tempo feel-good song. Remember Monday are known for their strong vocals and they shine on this. Last year, we became familiar with artist David Adavi as he was a guest vocalist on a few singles by Jupiter Pulse, including "I Let You Go", which we featured this year. We kept meaning to get around to listening to his solo material last year. Unfortunately, the last part of the year was super busy, and we never got around to it. So better late than never! We also discovered that he released an album this month called Sweet Sins.

"Don't Say My Name" was released in October, and we are bummed we missed this last year as we really like this upbeat tune. It has really nice rhythm and melody. Earlier this week, Victoria Beckham's oldest adult son went on a social media tirade about his parents airing family dirty laundry. The world went wild from the memes, and in result, Victoria's 2001 single "Not Such An Innocent Girl" is climbing the UK charts and could very well give Victoria her first solo #1 record. She is the only Spice Girl not to have a solo UK #1. Let's check out the song in question, as well as her short-lived solo career.
"Not Such An Innocent Girl" was the first release from Victoria's self-titled album. It actually sold really well and it debuted on the UK singles chart at #6. The problem was that it was released the same week as Kylie Minogue's "Can't Get You Out Of My Head", which was massive. A year earlier in 2000, Victoria was featured on True Steppers single with Dane Bowers called "Out Of Your Mind." That landed at #2 on the UK charts behind another massive hit called "Groovejet (If This Ain't Love)" by Spiller featuring Sophie Ellis-Bextor.

"A Mind Of It's Own" was released in early 2002. While her two previous singles were dance pop, this one was more mid-tempo and radio friendly. It also charted at #6 in the UK.
There were rumours of a third single from the album ...
"I Wish" was the main contender and Victoria even performed a duet version with Robbie Craig on TV. Sadly, the single never materialized. Victoria and her record company Virgin parted ways in 2002.
On the last week of December 2003, Victoria released a double A-side single with a song from each album to test which genre her fans would like best. The single was "This Groove" / "Let Your Head Go." The first being the more RnB influenced song and the chorus was taken from "Don't Disturb This Groove" by The System in 1987.

"Let Your Head Go" was the dance pop track was the more popular of the two songs. The double A-side single was successful as it went to #3 in the UK, but once again Victoria had missed the #1 spot.
It looked like Victoria's dance pop album was going to be released with "Open Your Eyes" being the next single. However, Victoria's record label went bankrupt and all of her future music was cancelled.
Fast foward to now. We didn't have Victoria having a hit record on our 2026 Bingo Card, but we are loving it. No matter where you are in the world, check out Victoria's music. Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day! Former En Vogue singer Rhona Bennett released a new solo song this month called "What We Got." You might remember that in December, we featured Rhona's original Christmas song "It's Christmas Time (For You And I)."
"What We Got" is a feel-good RnB pop jam. This easy going jam is filled with great vocals from Rhona, who we suspect is also on the backing vocals. We quite like this easy going song. Atomic Kitten singer Natasha Hamilton is back with a new solo single called "Numb." You might remember that we featured her last solo singles in 2024: "Edge Of Us" and "You Don't Know Me."

It’s been almost 23 years since pop duo Appleton (sisters Natalie and Nicole Appleton, formerly of All Saints — one of the most successful female groups of the 90s) released their debut album Everything’s Eventual. Today, they have unveiled their brand new single “Falling Into You” with a premiere on Scott Mills’ BBC Radio 2 show.
Appleton were, of course, one half of All Saints — formed after the legendary girlband initially split back in 2001. Natalie and Nicole, largely overlooked for their talent by the UK press due to their celebrity relationships, emerged in September 2002 as the “underdogs” to achieve a huge No.2 smash hit with Appleton’s debut single “Fantasy.”
“Don’t Worry”, a guitar-based ballad with Natalie on lead, followed as their second single in February 2003. It hit No.5 in the charts, before remaining in the public’s consciousness for several months due to featuring in a TV commercial for the Galaxy chocolate bar.
Everything’s Eventual followed later that month, entering the album charts at an impressive No.9. Sadly, Appleton’s success was short-lived from here — with third single “Everything Eventually” only charting at No.38 in July 2003. No further singles followed from the album and Appleton were then quietly dropped by Polydor Records.
Fast-forward to late 2005 and Natalie and Nicole reunited with former bandmates Shaznay Lewis and Melanie Blatt after putting aside their differences. All Saints’ third album Studio 1 followed in 2006 to little success. However, nearly a decade later, fourth album Red Flag reached No.3 in the UK charts, which was then followed by fifth album Testament in 2018. All went quiet on the All Saints front over the following years, with rumours of another rift in camp — as Shaznay and Melanie went under separate management to Natalie and Nicole. Everything’s Eventual was released on vinyl for the first time in 2023 to celebrate its 20th anniversary. After Shaznay released her second solo album Pages in 2024, Appleton took the opportunity to go back into the studio as a duo once again.
New single “Falling Into You” is a mid-tempo song with a soaring, catchy chorus led by Natalie. The verses are shared between Natalie and Nicole – and, of course, Nic gets her signature spoken parts at the start and end of the song. Produced by Gareth Young, who also worked on “Fantasy”, this song feels like a natural progression from Everything’s Eventual— very radio-friendly and a wonderful reminder of what All Saints and Appleton fans alike have been missing for several years!
