Melanie C just released her latest album Sweat and the new focus track (formerly called a single) is the song "Drum Machine." This follows the singles "Sweat" (#14 in our Top 101 Songs of 2025), "What Could Possibly Go Wrong", "Undefeated Champion", and "Attitude."
"Drum Machine" is a glorious pop song with a fantastic melody and empowering lyrics. The chorus is europhic, and Melanie sounds like she is in her element here. The music during the verses is a bit dark, but the light shines bright on the wonderful chorus. Did we mention that we like the chorus? Melanie's music video premiered today, and it is black and white with her performing in a bit room with giant fan. Simple, but effective. We love it.
