#20 of 2021

Dear Poptastic Readers,

In case you are just joining us, we have been counting down our Top 101 Songs of 2021.

#20 in our Top 101 Songs of 2021 is: “Not Sad Anymore” by Clara Mae. Click on the name of the song to read about what we originally wrote about the song earlier this year.

Written by: Clara Mae, Johan Lindbrandt, and Robin Stjernberg

Produced by: Johan Lindbrandt and Robin Stjernberg

Why: Clara tends to be the Queen of Broken Hearts, and this is another breakup song. But as the title says, it isn’t about being sad. It’s about self-reflection and relief that you are out of a relationship that didn’t work. It has a big chorus that will have you belting along. Clara Mae just has an amazing way of pulling us in to her story telling, song writing, and delivery. It is a true that most of her songs are about heartbreak, and she has us right there going through all of those emotions with her.

Watch: The music video shows Clara in various scenes including a road trip in a classic Volvo. Watch for cameo from a moth. Have a look ...
