#4 of 2018
Dear Poptastic Readers, #4 in our Top 100 Songs of 2018 is:"Stop Me From Falling" by Kylie Minogue featuring Gente de Zona. Click on the song title to see what we wrote about it earlier this year.
Why: Kylie captivated us this year with her country-pop inspired Golden album. She released the album version of "Stop Me From Falling" as the official second single. Then she went and really surprised us with a new version of the song with Cuba's Gente de Zona. Not only that, a stunning new music video, too. This version is what we picked as our favourite version of the song as it just made us feel happy all year long. Watch: The music video is funny, clever, colorful, and it makes you feel fantastic and alive. It is spectacular! Have a look ...
In 2018, we had a record number of posts, as well as a record number of visitors. Thank you! Compiling the list of songs wasn't easy for us. Most of the contributors also had different favourites. We have done our best to calculate the votes by contributors, plus how many visitors clicked on each post, and then bonus points were awarded if the artists acknowledged Poptastic Confessions for promoting their music, and in return promoted Poptastic Confessions. At the end of the day, Davearama and those closest to him helped narrow down the songs into this list. A special thanks to Raoni, Sausi, Nick, Normski, Jason, Janice, and Arturo.
No matter what position the song lands in, they are all worthy. Our main goal at Poptastic Confessions is to bring you music that you might not have heard before. We hope you have enjoyed the songs, and that you will help support the artists by legally buying their music.
