Electric Nights by Parralox

Dear Poptastic Readers,

And now for the single release that we have waited all of 2017 for: "Electric Nights" by Parralox is their latest single and it is FAB-U-LOUS! We've been listening to it all year and it always brings us so much joy!

Some history of the song: It was written and originally recorded in 2004 with Parralox mastermind John von Ahlen and original Parralox singer Roxy. They submitted the song to the Music Oz awards in 2004 and it won Best Dance Australian Dance Track. But then Roxy left the group, and the song got put on hold. It was only ever included in Parralox's Megamix 2008

However, last year it was rerecorded for their new album Subculture with new singer Johanna and John on lead vocals. Johanna's big vocals really shine on the track! Some of Roxy's vocals remain on the track, too. And Louise Love and Johnny X add some backing vocals, too. And together it is one of the best records of the year!

We ordered the CD single and it arrived in the mail on Monday this week along with some other goodies. The digital release is coming November 24. Along with some fabulous remixes, there are brand-new songs, too! B-sides, if you will. See the track listing here.

DECEMBER UPDATE! The music video has debuted and it is so poptastic that it is Trontastic! And our favorite bits are the parts where John and Johanna have a laugh. Have a look ...

We've added the song to our 2017 Poptastic Confessions Playlist on Spotify. You will also find other songs from their Holiday '16 album. Enjoy!~
