Dear Poptastic Readers, Norwegian singer Dagny has a new song out called "Love You Like That." This is her third single this week after the fantastic "Wearing Nothing" and the fun remake of "More, More More."
"Love You Like That" starts off a bit slow. However, it gains momentum and Dagny's vocals soar before going into the fun chorus. There isn't a video yet, but there is this lyric video ...
Dear Poptastic Readers, Sorry we've haven't been churning out the posts lately. Life gets busy and we've got a lot of new music to share this week. First up is Sporty Spice Melanie C who has a new song out called "Room For Love."
"Room For Love" is a nice uplifting pop song. Melanie delivers a really nice vocal performance. It is very catchy, too. For the video, Melanie had fans send in videos for the song, which really is endearing. Three other Spice Girls (Geri, Emma, and Victoria) also sent in cameos. Enjoy the video ...
Dear Poptastic Readers, Scandipop featured this new song by a new artist and the artwork totally made us check it out. It didn't disappoint either. The song is "Stupid Lovesong" by Laser Dreams. Isn't the artwork totally awesome?
Who are Laser Dreams? They are a Swedish duo made up of producer Urban "Hurb" Ericsson and singer Malin Lybeck. The music to "Stupid Lovesong" is pure synthpop! The vocals are fun and charming. Check out the video ...

Dear Poptastic Readers, Paul Lekakis is out with a new single called "Somebody (Is Out There)" and it was written and produced by John von Ahlen of Parralox!
Who is Paul Lekakis? Well, he is probably most known for his 1987 song "Boom Boom (Let's Go Back To My Room)." Well, fast forward 30 years and the new song is POPtastic!
Dear Poptastic Readers, As you know, the original lineup of Bananarama (Sara, Keren, and Siobhan) are touring the UK in November and December this year. Well, they've just added 4 dates in North America! Hooray!
And the best news is that they are coming to San Francisco! It is a stop they missed on their their 2012 tour (just as a duo). And I live in the San Francisco Bay Area! The other dates are L.A., Toronto, and New York.
Dear Poptastic Readers, Once upon a time, there was a British disco duo called Slippry Feet, which members were Jacquie O'Sullivan (formerly of The Shillelagh Sisters and Bananarama) and Paul Simper (author, columnist, and journalist, formerly of No. 1 Magazine). They performed and recorded songs as Slippry Feet from 1992 to 1996, but never was able to release music until their demos were released in 2001 with the album Freak Time Viewing. However, there is a new song! And Poptastic Confessions has the premiere!
Slippry Feet are Paul Simper and Jacquie O'Sullivan
The fantastic book was directly funded by readers through a company/website called Unbound. Certain readers like me (Davearama) pledged a certain amount to get the book as well as the new song on CD. Others pledged to get fun stuff from Paul's pop collection, or tickets to the launch party for the book. Slippry Feet first started work on the song with Alex Godson (ex Eighth Wonder) in 1996. They finally finished demoing it last year with Phil 'Polecat' Bloomberg. And the song has been released year! The result is so wonderful, that it is one of our favourite songs of the year!

I told Paul that more people need to hear this song, so I asked him if I could make a video of it for YouTube featuring photos of Slippry Feet. He agreed. It look a few attempts to get it to where we wanted it, but in the end, both Jacquie and Paul gave their blessing for the video. Enjoy!~
Wasn't that awesome? Yes, it was! Hopefully the song will be on iTunes and Spotify soon! Perhaps this is the start of the Second Act for Slippry Feet! We can only hope! Be sure to like the official Facebook page of Jacquie O'Sullivan & Slippry Feet. And if you haven't bought Paul's AMAZING book, please order it here. It is deeply fabulous. Cheers then, —Davearama
