"Young Lion" is tranquil, reflective song. The lyrics written by Sade are of that of a mother writing her trans son a letter. The song is very powerful. Ultimately, it is about acceptance, support, and celebration. The music video features a glimpse into the life of Sade and her family as well as seeing her son grow up over the years.
