Swedish artist Clara Mae has a new album out called My Roots. The country pop album contains some songs that we have already featured in Poptastic Confessions before: "The Player", "No Jolene", "Tennessee", "Growing Pains", and "Once In A While" with Josh Breaks.
The latest single from the album is "Never Been Yours" is a duet with Bob John Holt. He takes the first verse and chorus. Clara has the second verse and they both join in from there. The music video features them standing out in the cold with lots of snow behind them. Brrr. We've added the music video to our 2026 Poptastic Confessions YouTube Playlist ...
The rest of the album is has the country pop feel to it, and it is quite an enjoyable listen. The standouts to us were: "Still", "Happy Birthday", "Edward Scissorhands", and "Doris." We also liked the Intro and Outro of "My Roots." This is a deep album with lots of lyrical content, as Clara is quite the storyteller. Have a listen to the album here ...
"Never Been Yours" was written by Clara Mae, Johan Lindbrandt, and Jens Hult. It was produced by Johan Lindbrandt. We've added it to our 2026 Poptastic Confessions Playlist on Spotify ...
