Find Xanadu by Alison Goldfrapp + Dream Machine with Purple Disco Machine

English musician Alison Goldfrapp has a new single called "Find Xanadu." Last year, Alison enchanted us with her single "I Wanna Be Loved (Just A Little Better)", which was #28 in our Top Songs of 2024.

"Find Xanadu" is a steady pop song with light, airy vocals. The chorus might seem simple, but it is effective because we can't stop singing it. This is quite good. We've added the official visualizer to our 2025 Poptastic Confessions YouTube Playlist ...

There is more! Last month, Alison released a new song with Purple Disco Machine that we missed. The song is called "Dream Machine." Last year,  "Honey Boy" by Purple Disco Machine and Benjamin Ingrosso with Nile Rodgers and Shenseea was #4 in our Top Songs of 2025. 

"Dream Machine" has a deep groove and upbeat tempo. Alison's vocals float right over the track perfectly. It feels like a space age disco song. The relaxed melody is quite infectious. The Right One by Inga's Affairs

Dear Poptastic Readers,

Inga's Affairs is out with a new single called "The Right One." You might remember that we introduced you to Inga's Affairs back in early April. The music is fun dance pop and sung in Spanish. The lyrics usually have a funny twist, too.

"The Right One" has a lovely melody and a modern pop dance production. The verses, bridges, and middle 8 are sung in Spanish, but the chorus is English. The lyrics are about crossing paths with someone at the beach and then again at bar. We laughed when the singer orders a melon mojito to turn down the heat. Dear Poptastic Readers,

Clara Mae just released a new song on Friday called "Tennessee." This is her fourth single this year. Her previous songs this year were "Growing Pains", "Hurricane" with Frank Walker, and "Once In A While" with Josh Breaks.

"Tennessee" is a country pop song with flavors of gospel. The music definitely has a country vibe. The gospel part comes from a big choir who sing along thoughout the song, making it very warm and inviting. Clara's vocals are endearing, as always, as she sings about saying goodbye to a situation that didn't work for her. Last year, we featured "Devilish Dreams" by Emly Clausen. She has just released a new 2025 version and it has been remixed by a new artist named Gideyo, who is an upcoming musician at the age of 14. Both artists are from Stockholm, Sweden.

Flora Summers is back with a new song called "Image" and it is with Color Buzz. We weren't familiar with Color Buzz, but we think he is a Swedish music producer named Jakob Redtzer. You might remember Flora from her song "Sweet Summer Feels", which was #8 in our Top Songs of 2023. You also might remember Flora as one half of the duo Isle Of You, and while they had many songs that we loved, our favourite was "Change Of Heart", which was our #2 in our Top Songs of 2019.

"Image" is a mid-tempo relaxing, funky pop song that gets the groove going on. Flora's dreamy vocals really add to the ambiance. This will be on repeat all weekend. We've added the official audio to our 2025 Poptastic Confessions YouTube Playlist ...

We hope there is a music video as the duo made some amazing press shots ...

Color Buzz and Flora Summers

Color Buzz had their debut single out in March with Paul Rey called "Spaceship."

Sophie Ellis-Bextor has a new song called "Vertigo." This is the second single this year following "Relentless Love." Last year, her single "Freedom Of The Night" was #2 in our Top Songs of 2024.

"Vertigo" is a frantic, edgy electro pop song. Some of the lyrics have phrases that are backwards like "down upside" and "I can't straight think." Heart's A Liar by Andy Bell featuring Debbie Harry

Dear Poptastic Readers,

Andy Bell's fourth single this year is called "Heart's A Liar" and it features Blondie singer Debbie Harry. His previous singles were: "Breaking Thru The Interstellar", "Don't Cha Know", and "Dance For Mercy." All songs are taken from the forthcoming album Ten Crowns.

"Heart's A Liar" is upbeat song about heartbreak. Debbie Harry does some great talking bits and joins in on the chorus. Debbie isn't in the music video, but Andy holds up a photo of them togehter and it adds to the drama of the lyrics. We've added the music video to our 2025 Poptastic Confessions YouTube Playlist.
