At the end of 2024, 80s synthpop legends A Flock Of Seagulls released the second single from their new album Some Dreams — their first studio album in 30 years. The first single was "Some Dreams" (#54 in our Top 141 Songs of 2024). The new song is called "Him."
We first thought the title "Him" might be religious, but it isn't. The lyrics are about having a lover who is cheating. After hearing the song, we think a better title would have been "I Know You're With Him." No matter. This easy-going pop song has a lot of classic synth chords and soaring guitars that makes up the band's signature sound. It is futuristic nostalgia.
